Sometimes, as this well known phrase says, we don't appreciate what we have until its gone. I have experienced this through this year, I miss every single little thing. But today, I am talking about my dog, our perfect dog, Chuqui. She has ben with us for the last 13 years, giving us smiles and lots of kisses. She has been a very loyal dog and loved us as we loved her. Or even more. Well, this last week, we've lost her. There is a new angel in dogs heaven. And I wish I could have been with her during her last days..She has been the best dog no one could ever had. I promise. And she will always be in out heart.

Every small detail

Well, as I said, the 23rd was a very important day as I totally felt as home by the small but giant detail of my dad, mom and boyfriend. I am still so excited and happy for it!!! All the roses look amazing in our living room and each time I go there a smile comes to my face. So, do you want to see some pics? Here are some of them, hope you like them!

From Spain, with love - St. Jordi 2013

As you probably all know at this point, I am Spanish and, today day 23rd of April there is a very important - and beautiful - celebration in my city, Barcelona. It is called St. Jordi, and its name comes from the most romantic legend of my homeland. It says that, long story short, there was a very small village, with a King and its beautiful princess, his daughter. This village was very poor and they survived by their local food, being mainly goats and cows. One day, a dragon came and started eating every day one cow and then, when there were all gone, goats. Until there was not a single animal left. The King, sadly, had to announce the village that every day a draw will be done and the name of the person chosen, will have to be sacrificed to feed the Dragon. The first day, unluckily, the beautiful princess appeared in the draw. Everyone was sad and melancholic. But, suddenly, when the dragon was about to kill her, St. Jordi came in his white horse and with his spear killed the dragon. From his blood, the most gorgeous roses appeared and St. Jordi got the most beautiful and gave it to the princess. That is why in this day, roses are given to all ladies who are important in your life. 

Today, I was quite sad as it was my first St. Jordi without being able to celebrate it. I was seeing how everyone was enjoying it but for me, so when I got home, I started with my homework and someone knocked at the door. A messenger came in with the 12 most beautiful roses and with a note, from my dad, from Spain...that was the last thing I would ever expect, but it made my day, month and year! Don't you love it?
